D.J.
Dietz Designs Team Attends Cambria University
|
On
January 12th and 13th, three members of the D.J. Dietz Designs
team, Dave Dietz, Kari Dvorak,
and John Dietz, traveled to LeSueur and St. Peter, Minnesota,
home of “Cambria Natural Quartz Surfaces”. They
attended a 2-day intensive training seminar sponsored by Cambria.
The first day was spent touring Cambria’s manufacturing
facility, the only Quartz producer in the United States, focusing
on every aspect of production, from the rows of 2800 pound
bags of pure quartz crystals at the receiving dock to the
final diamond polishing and careful final inspection of the
finished surfaces. |

|

The plant has 2 parallel production lines, one based on proprietary
European technology, plus a new line using advanced Cambria
developed technology. They then visited Cambria’s Minnesota
fabrication facility, a division of the Cambria operation. This
is the area where polished 4’x10’ slabs of quartz
are formed into the various shapes unique to each individual
kitchen. The second day of the trip was spent at the Cambria
University in St. Peter, MN, under the guidance of the heads
of the marketing and sales departments. After spending 2 days
training with Cambria’s head managers in manufacturing,
fabrication, sales and marketing, the Dietz Designs team was
convinced that they should specify Cambria as their preferred
Quartz surface. |
